A market town in west Limerick on the River Feale, in the foothills of the Mullaghareirk Mountains near the Kerry border. Its square is dominated by a statue of Fr William Casey, parish priest from 1883 to 1907, who stood with the tenant farmers against their landlords. Every May the town hosts the Fleadh by the Feale, which includes an International Bone Playing Competition on an open-air stage in the square.
